SOUTH CAROLINA- One person is dead, and several others were injured after an elderly man plowed into a Wendy’s on Tuesday, police said.
The man drove into the front door of the fast-food restaurant, according to WIS-TV. The car rammed into the counter, pushing it back into the kitchen from the impact.
The victim who was tragically killed in this incident has been identified as Janie Kirkland, 70, who was sitting down and eating when she was fatally struck.
She was reportedly with her husband, who had just left to get a refill on his drink before the deadly crash.
Another victim was pinned underneath the car.
Others were also injured and rushed to a hospital but the number of victims are unknown and their conditions.
