A 10 year old boy from Cleveland, Ohio has been charged with murder in connection to his step others death.
The boys stepmother Shavonne Willis was shot and killed on September 26. According to Cleveland.com, police had initially thought that the child was in fact a victim but was arrested on Friday as a suspect.
The child’s father turned him in on Friday at the Cleveland police department homicide unit. Police haven’t released many details about what led them to the childs arrest but the boy was reportley home during the time of the shooting unharmed.
Shavonne Willis, 36, was shot multiple times at the family’s home. She was later pronounced dead at University Hospital. Police believed they were searching for a suspect in their 30’s. A gun was found at the home but their reports didn’t state if it was the actual gun that was used to kill Willis.
The boy is currently being held at a Juvenile Detention Center and is set to appear in Juvenile court at an arraignment on Friday.
