10-year-old girl commits suicide after being bullied in school

CALIFORNIA- A 10-year-old girl has committed suicide after it’s believed it was due to her being bullied at school.

10-year-old Allison Wendel was found dead on Sun by her 9-year-old sister to make the story even more heartbreaking..

Investigators were at her school, and have been questioning other students, checking her social media accounts and even her text messages to see if bullying was the reason why she took her own life.

One of her classmates, Jacob Ortiz, said this about Allison “She was always like funny…she was always really nice to everybody,” adding “She would give a lot of people hugs a lot.”

Bullying has been at a all time high, I believe due to social media. Parents are also still NOT educating their children on what bullying is until a child takes their life or it hits close to home.

This is not the first child to take their own life over bullying.

Please teach your children the meaning of bullying which is:

Abuse and mistreatment of someone vulnerable by someone stronger, more powerful. This includes harassment, antagonizing, gossiping and even physical abuse.

Children must be taught that if they witness another kid being bullied, they should speak up for the victim, or tell an adult immediately, like a teacher, a school safety officer or their parent.
