BROOKLYN, NYC – A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed Thursday night, according to NYPD.
The boy, identified as Troy Gill, was shot multiple times after bullets began flying on near New York Ave and Bergen Street around 10:30 p.m. He was discovered by police.
He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Gill may have been killed over his “Drench” tattoo that allegedly links him to the street gang and may led to his death.
The NYPD believe he was targeted in retaliation for an earlier beef that involved a rival gang.
His family has denied any allegations that he was in a gang, saying that were unaware of any gang-related tattoo and that he may have hidden it.
No arrests have been made.
