13-year-old boy struck by lightening at Bronx beach dies
THE BRONX, NYC- A 13-year-old boy is dead after he was struck by lightening at Orchard Beach on Thursday.
Carlos Ramos was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center on Thursday afternoon, hours after the lightening struck him.
Ramos was with his twin sister, their cousins and friends when a storm rolled through the beach around 5:20 p.m. The FDNY says that others were injured as well.
A 13-year-old girl, 12-year-old girl, 5-year-old boy, 14-year-old boy, a 33-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were also injured.
