MEMPHIS- A 13-year-old has been charged in connection to the death of a 16-year-old girl.
The deadly shooting happened on November 21, around 8 p.m. at a home in Parkway Village, according to reports.
The 16-year-old victim identified as Takiyah Nelson, was reportedly inside of a home with a gunshot wound.
She was taken to a hospital and placed in critical condition but later died from her injuries.
In investigation revealed that the Nelson was with inside of the home with friends when a gun that her 13-year-old friend was passing around, went off, striking her in the head, reports WREG.
The 13-year-old has been charged with reckless homicide.
