BROOKLYN, NY (PIX11)- The family of a 14-year-old who was found inside of a park want answers.
The family told Pix11 that a good Samaritan found Ivan Cruz unresponsive, surrounded by a group of boys on Wednesday in the P.S 16 school park after 6 p.m..
A call was made to 911, in which the caller told the dispatchers that the boy had fallen off of some monkey bars.
Here’s where the story takes a turn..
Ivan’s family was told by witnesses that they saw a group of boys following him to a bus stop, where they pushed him, causing him to hit his head on a pole.
According to the Medical examiners office, Evan had no injuries to his head.
His family says Evan’s neck was “broken”.
The family said that a detective from the 90th precinct is now in charge of looking into the case to see if foul play was what caused Evan’s death.
