CALIFORNIA- A 14-year-old girl who was kidnapped and raped was saved after using Snapchat.
The victim, whose name can’t be released due to her age, was allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday by 55-year-old Albert Thomas Vasquez.
According to The Mercury News, Vasquez then contacted two of his friends, Hediberto Gonzalez Avarenga, 31, and Antonio Quirino Salvador, 34, to help him put the teen victim inside of a car, where he sexually assaulted her.
All three men took her to a Motel, where she was drugged and sexually assaulted more by Vasquez. That’s when the teen somehow, after being drugged, was able to use her Snapchat to let her friends know that she needed help.
They didn’t know her exact location, but police figured it out, went to the Motel, and found all three suspects, along with the victim who was found inside of the room.
Vasquez has been charged with kidnapping to commit rape, false imprisonment and rape by intoxication or controlled substance, and digital penetration with a child.
The other two suspects (animals) were charged with kidnapping conspiracy.
