TEXAS- A 14-year-old boy is accused of opening fire at a Texas convivence store, killing three other teens and injuring a 4th person in what police are calling a targeted attack.
The suspect has been identified as Abel Elias Acosta and he’s still on the loose. Police said he’s armed and dangerous.
Surveillance footage allegedly shows the shirtless teen, walking up to the doorway of the gas station. After peeking into the store, he then shot about 20 rounds using a handgun as he stood at the doorway.
Police say Acosta’s father, Richard Acosta, 33, was his getaway driver after the killings as he drove off in a Dodge Ram. Richard turned himself into police custody and faces capital murder charges.
The deadly ambush may have been in retaliation for a “previous disturbance” against one or more of the victims, according to the Garland Police Dept.
The victims have been identified as Xavier Gonzale, 14, Ivan Noyala, 16, and Rafael Garcia, 17. A 15-year-old cook from the store was injured but hasn’t been identified.
