Police have arrested a second suspect in connection to the death of a 14-year-old boy who was killed, after meeting his “date” from Snapchat.
The 14-year-old suspect, whose name is being withheld due to his age, turned himself into police on Monday night. He’s been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Police say that the teen suspect allegedly admitted to luring 14-year-old Jose Nunez on July 28th outside of his home, before he was murdered.
This second arrest comes 1 week after Nunez was reported missing by his family, when they awoke on July 28th to find that the front door to their home was open and he was missing.
Nunez thought he was meeting up with someone that he had met through Snapchat. The two were planning on having sex.
Nunez’s body was recovered the following day in a wooded area.
His cause of death was strangulation, and ruled a homicide.
Police arrested 19-year-old Diante Willoughby, and charged him with Nunez’s murder.
