16-Year-Old Girl Fatally Stabbed Outside Of McDonald’s After Dispute Over Sauce, Police

MARYLAND- A 16-year-old girl was fatally shot outside of a McDonalds after a dispute over chicken nugget sauce, police said.

Naima Liggon was stabbed early Sunday.

Liggon was taken to a near-by hospital in a private vehicle around 2 a.m., police said.

When officers arrived at the hospital after a report of a teen girl with stab wounds, Liggons had died from her injuries, police said in a news conference.

Later Sunday, police said a 16-year-old girl was arrested and found in possession of a knife.

The unidentified teen suspect has been charged with second-degree murder while armed, assault with intent to kill, felony assault, aggravated assault and carrying a dangerous weapon, NBC News reported.

The teen appeared at a hearing on Monday in D.C. Superior Court and a detective testified that Liggon was stabbed in an argument over “sweet-and-sour sauce” with three other girls outside of the McDonald’s around 2 a.m., The Washington Post reported.
Liggons and another teen girl began hitting the suspect and when they tried to get into a vehicle, the suspect “lunged” at Liggon with a pocketknife, striking her in the chest and stomach.

The teen suspect has pleaded “not involved”, which is the juvenile equivalent of pleading not guilty.
