CONNECTICUT- A 16-year-old girl was shot in the chest at the Danbury Mall on Wednesday, which caused a lockdown.
Police responded to a report of a shooting near the Macy’s store in the Danbury Fair Mall after 7 p.m. The girl was found conscious.
The unidentified girl was rushed to a near-by Hospital where she was treated, but it’s unclear what her condition is.
According to Danbury Police, the shooting happened after a confrontation between two groups of people and the teen girl was not the intended target. Police say the suspect and his crew fled the mall,but they are looking at surveillance video.
