TEXAS- A 17-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with capital murder for the death of a 3-month-old baby.
According to KDFW-TV, Tynia Johnson was arrested on Friday, a week after 3-month-old Ashton Smith died in her care.
Johnson was babysitting Smith on Feb. 16. when she told his mother that he was feeling “ill”, so she had his uncle pick him up. Smiths mother said that when she saw her son, his “eyes were rolled back in his head”.
Smith was taken to the hospital by his mother and his uncle, when doctors determined that he was suffering from seizures due to skull and brain injuries.

Johnson has been booked on a $150,000 bond.
