ST. LOUIS- A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with murder on Saturday in the death of a Lyft driver.
Police say that Torian Wilson has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal in the killing of Elijah Newman, 45, who was found dead on Thursday in his car from a single gunshot wound to his torso.
Wilson was taken into custody with a gun that matched a bullet casing which was found near Newsman’s body.
Police were able to find Wilson from his email address , which had been linked to recent carjacking’s of ride-sharing drivers, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Newman had immigrated to America from Ghana, and was sending money he had been saving back to his family.
