17-Year-Old Dies After Being Beaten By A Mob Of 15 Other Students; No Arrests Made

LAS VEGAS – A disturbing video shows a mob of 15 students beating another student to death after he was standing up for his friend.

Johnathan Lewis, 17, died in a hospital days after he was brutally beaten on Nov. 1 across the street from the Rancho High School, according to reports.

Police have made no arrests.

School personnel performed CPR on Lewis, who was unconscious after the brutal attack, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

He was rushed to a hospital and listed in critical condition, but died on Tuesday, his father said.

Lewis’ father wrote on his GoFundMe page “He will always be so loved. As his dad I’ll forever hold him in my heart — shine even brighter, love even more and work all my life to bring peace into this world.”

There is an ongoing homicide investigation and police are trying to identify all of the students involved in the attack.

Lewis confronted the group of cowards after they had allegedly stolen something from one of friends and then stuffed the boy into a garbage can.
