BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT- A 19-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a missing teen.
The family of 14-year-old Jose Nunez say that he was lured out of his home on Tuesday around 4 a.m. for sex, by a man he was communicating with on Snapchat.
Nunez’s family said when they awoke to find their front door to their home opened, and saw he was missing after 24 hours, they reported it to police.
Police discovered Nunez’s body in a wooded area, 24 hours later, and allegedly told his family that his body was threw away “like a piece of garbage”.
Nunez’s cause of death was strangulation.
Investigators tracked down 19-year-old Diante Willoughby, and have charged with murder.
He was actually spotted at the scene where Nunez’s body was recovered.
Authorities say that Willoughby was actually a former police explorer.
