2 men charged in connection to shooting at late rapper Houdini’s memorial

TORONTO- 2 men have been charged, and two other’s are now wanted for a shooting that occurred at rapper Houdini’s memorial earlier this month.

According to TorontoCitynews, police arrested 24-year-old Gaddiel O’Neil Ledinek, who’s facing firearm charges. He was out on parole for possession of a prohibited loaded firearm and was injured himself.

Police also arrested Traequan Mahoney, 20, and he’s also facing numerous firearm charges.

The shootings happened on June 9th, when a group gathered at parking lot near a restaurant after attending rapper Houdini’s memorial. It was then that a dark-colored vehicle pulled up to the crowd and began firing.

A few people in the crowd returned fire in self-defense. 2 people suffered gunshot wounds.

Canadian rapper Houdini was shot and killed earlier in May as he was  standing outside of a restaurant.
