MISSISSIPPI- A 2-year-old boy was abandoned at a Goodwill drop-off location with a bag of clothes and a note on Monday.
Police found the boy around 10 a.m. and turned him in to Child Protective Services.
Surveillance footage from the area shows a man fleeing the scene on foot, after abandoning the toddler, The New York Post reported.
The F.B.I. joined local police, and within hours a suspect was taken into custody in Memphis. It’s unsure whether the man in custody is the person seen on video.
The boy is reportedly safe, and will be handed over to his family once Child Protective Services feel it’s safe to do so.
