NYC- A young mother was executed Wednesday in the Upper West Side of Manhattan while pushing her baby in a stroller, and now police say they have a person of interest.
Azsia Johnson, 20, was near Samuel Seabury Playground before 8:25 p.m. when someone approached her from behind and shot her once in the head.
She was taken to Metropolitain hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Johnson’s mother, Lisa Desort, told several news outlets that her daughter was a victim of domestic.
She was allegedly being stalked and assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, and father to her 3-month-old baby.
Desort said her daughter’s ex had assaulted her 6 months ago, when she was pregnant and when Desort called the police, they never arrested or detained him.
Authorities are looking to speak with Johnson’s ex.
