MICHIGAN- Authorities are investigating the disappearance of three local rappers who went missing for 10 days after their scheduled performance at a club was canceled, Detroit police said Monday.
Montoya Givens, 31, Armani Kelly, 28, and Dante Wicker, 31 who are reportedly all associates, were set to perform at a club in Detroit on Jan. 21.
“It’s our understanding that the performance got canceled, and from there we just have a whole lot of unanswered questions that we are trying to find out,” Michael McGinnis, commander of major crimes said. “All of their phones “stopped having activity” by the early morning hours of January 22, he added, according to WXYZ.
Armani Kelly’s mother made a missing person’s report the following day and began searching for her vehicle through OnStar.
She was able to locate the car in Warren, Michigan, where authorities recovered the car on January 23. By the 27th, info on Kelly’s disappearance made its way to the media.
