FLORIDA – A 3-year-old boy was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting while he was at a birthday party, police said.
The toddler, whose name was Rylo Yancy, was shot and killed at Riverland Park in Fort Lauderdale around 4:32 p.m. on July 21, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department said in a news release.
The deadly shooting happened at a kid’s birthday party in the park, according to police.
Yancy was rushed to a near-by hospital with “life-threatening injuries”, but he was later pronounced dead.
The suspects fled the scene, but police recovered one of the vehicles involved in the boy’s death. No arrests have been made.
