3 year old dies and step father is charged with her murder

According to the Queens District Attorney, the stepfather of 3 year old Bella Edwards who was found dead Monday in Seaside, Queens has been charged with murder. Police arrived at the apartment Monday to find the stepfather performing CPR on the 3 year old victim, after many attempts by first responders she was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The child’s stepfather Marc Jenkins, 32 was the only one with Bella and her 3 month old brother for 8 hours. Doctors found that she died of results from blunt force trauma to her stomach, and she also had signs that she was both physically and sexually abused for quite some time. The Administration For Children’s Services is now investigating. The stepfather is facing charges for second degree depraved murder and and first degree depraved assault.
