INDIANA- A toddler died from a fentanyl overdose and two other kids overdosed but survived after finding the deadly drug in their home, police say.
The toddler, identified as Kamari Opperman, 3, and two other children, ages 4 and 2, found a stash of fentanyl pills at the home on Wednesday, according to the Evansville Courier & Press.
None of the adults in the home took Opperman to the Hospital, or helped the two younger children until first responders took them to the Hospital and administered Narcan, an anti-overdose drug.
The 3-year-old was pronounced dead at the Hospital. Prosecutor’s say an infant may have also been exposed to the deadly drug.
Police found 5,600 fentanyl pills in the hone.
Six people were arrested, which included the girl’s mother and grandparents.
