4 Men Charged After Bragging About Armed Robberies On Instagram, Feds

CALIFIRNIA – Four men have been arrested after allegedly robbing several stores and bragging about the crimes on social media.

D’Angelo Spencer, 26, Tazjar Rouse, 22, Jordan Leonard, 25, and Charles Christopher, 26, were all arrested on July 23 on a nine-count federal indictment charging them with committing armed robberies at several businesses in Los Angeles.

The men have also been charged with additional counts that fall under Hobbs Act robbery as well as with brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

The four men would allegedly drive to a 7-Eleven or CVS Pharmacy in a blue BMW, with their faces disguised with ski masks, pulled out guns on the cashiers and demanded cash from the registers or drugs, and then posted the money on Instagram.
Spencer posted a series of photos on his Instagram before and after allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven with Christopher and the others.

One post allegedly showed stacks of money after the robbery, while another showed another allegedly showing Spencer dressed in black clothing with a ski mask pulled up to expose his face, according to the indictment. Prosecutors said his clothing matched what the suspects were wearing during the robberies.

Leonard and Christopher were arraigned Tuesday, where they pleaded not guilty and were ordered to be jailed without bond, according to local outlets.

Rouse appeared in court Tuesday, it’s unclear if he entered a plea.

Spencer is set to be arraigned Wednesday, July 24.
