HARLEM, NY- A 4-year-old is dead after being beaten to death by his stepfather on Sunday, according to the NYPD.
The boy’s mother flagged down police in the street Sunday morning, saying his stepfather was beating him.
Police found the 27-year-old suspect inside of the apartment with the boy who was dead. His other sibling fled the home and was found safe in a neighbor’s apartment.
The stepfather had called 911 and told them that he was going to commit suicide before they arrived at the scene.
The stepfather is currently being questioned by police.
