BROOKLYN, NYC- Five people were shot, one critically, early Sunday on Coney Island’s boardwalk, police said.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. at the Parachute Jump Ride tower, a historic landmark at the amusement park.
Police say a large crowd gathered for a pop-up party on the beachside boardwalk at 21st when one person pulled a gun out and began shooting, according to reports.
Two women and three men were shot.
A 37-year-old was shot in the back and taken to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition. Two women were reportedly shot in their legs and another male victim was shot in his chin.
The NYPD says there have been no arrests made.
