LOS ANGELES- Rapper 50 Cent is being investigated as a battery suspect after throwing a microphone which hit radio personality Bryhana Monegain Wednesday.
The Power 106 host was hospitalized after being hit by a mic that 50 Cent hurled during a Wednesday night concert, causing Monegain to be hospitalized, and now the rapper is being investigated as a criminal battery suspect, according to TMZ.
The “Outta Control” rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, reportedly tossed his mic after he became upset when the mics that he was handed at his Cryto.com Arena weren’t functioning properly.
His mic was cut off during his collab with rapper YG.
It’s believed that 50 Cent was attempting to throw the mic at his production crew backstage, according to police sources, TMZ said.
Monogain filed a police complaint on Wednesday, claiming the rapper knew she was in the area when he chucked the microphone and struck her in the head.
