NEW JERSEY- 47-year-old Manisha Bharade, the owner of a 7-Eleven has been arrested after selling homemade hand sanitizers, which burned 4 children.
The chemicals that Bharade used, burned four boys, ages 10 to 11 years-old on Monday. One of the victims made a full recovery according to WABC, and the other boy weren’t severely burned.
The boys had burn on their legs and arms.
Police don’t believe that Bharade was purposely trying to harm anyone, but was simply trying to take advantage of the high demands for hand sanitizer during this Coronavirus that is now an epidemic.
Bharade was issued a summons on charges of endangering the welfare of children and deceptive business practices for mixing foaming sanitizer not intended for resale with water and packaging the mixture in bottles which she sold at her store.
