7-year-old boy mauled to death by pack of dogs

SOUTH CAROLINA- A 7-year-old boy was killed after he was mauled to death by a pack of dogs on Sunday.

Police say the boy, identified as Shamar Jackson, was walking with his brother, looking for their lost dog when dogs began attacking Jackson. His brother was able to get away.

The dogs came from a nearby yard, reports WBTW.

Jackson’s father told the news station that his wife was told not to help her son until first responders were on the scene.

Authorities removed 5 dogs and a puppy from a nearby home on Tuesday, but it’s unclear if there were any arrests made.
