NEW YORK CITY- A 77-year-old woman was knocked unconscious after she walked in on a robbery inside a bookstore, police said.
The incident happened Sept. 10 around 12:30 p.m. at the bookstore located on East 17 Street, according to the NYPD, reports KNEWZ.
Police said a robbery was taking place at the bookstore when loss prevention attempted to confront the suspect, who pushed the woman as she walked into the store, according to the outlet.
The victim was taken to a hospital for a head injury. She was placed in stable condition.
Police have not made an arrest.
