8-year-old girl fatally shot during football game; police responsible

PENNSYLVANIA- An 8-year-old girl was shot and killed during a football game and there is a “high probability” that she was shot by police.

Fanta Bility was shot in her chest on Aug. 27, as she sat on the stands with her sister and mother to watch a football which erupted in gunfire.

Bility was taken to a Hospital and later died.

According to DA Jack Stollsteimer, someone had fired in the direction of three police officers, and police returned fire, reports NBC 10.

“Tragically, our investigation has now determined that there is a high probability that the responsive gunfire of the Sharon Hill Police Officers struck four victims, including the shots that killed 8-year-old Fanta Bility and wounded her sister,” Stollsteimer said.

Police detained 3 people, but then released them. No arrests have been made.
