NORTH CAROLINA- A man has been arrested, and charged for allegedly killing his 5-year-old neighbor.
WRAL reports that 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant was playing outside on Sunday with 2 sisters, ages 7 and 8, when Darius Sessoms, 25, allegedly shot the boy point blank in his head.
Hinnant was taken to a Hospital, where he later died.
One witness told WRAL that she witnessed Sessoms walking towards the boy with a gun in his hand, and then shooting him. She was under the impression that he was playing with the children.
What makes this killing even worse, is that Sessoms had eaten dinner with the victims father and he was at their home hours before allegedly murdering him.
According to the victims family’s GoFundMe page for the boy, Sessoms killed him for playing his backyard.
Sessoms has been charged with first-degree murder.
Sessoms lived next door to the boy.
