MASSACHUSETTS- A mother, and her son have been charged with incest and are facing years in prison.
According to the Sentinel & Enterprise, on May 20th, police responded to a call about a disturbance. When they arrived at the residence, they were greeted by a cousin of the of Tony L. Lavioe, 43.
The cousin told police that Lavioe’s wife had called her, telling her that she had walked in on her husband, having sex with his mother, Cheryl Lavoie, 64.
Police questioned the mother, son, separately, and both admitted to police that they did have sex with each other, but it was their first time.
When police spoke with Tony Lavoie, and asked him why he had sex with his mother, he told one of the responding officer’s “I don’t know. It just happened”, adding that he wanted to seek treatment for what he did.
Cheryl Lavoie, told police that she began to get closer to her son in the past several months, and after kissing, they had sex.
Police charged both of them with incest, which is a felony, and summoned them to appear in court on Aug. 20th.
Both pleaded not guilty, and were released. They’ll be returning to court on Oct. 27th. If convicted, they could face up to 20 years in prison.
