GEORGIA- A 1-year-old boy who was kidnapped at gunpoint, on Saturday, has been reunited with his mother.
According to WSB-TV2, police say that 1-year Mateo Mantufar-Barrera has been found, and two suspects have been arrested.
Police have arrested Maynor Dario Valera Zuniga, and Kristin Nicole Valera Zuniga. The suspects have been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and battery.
The baby’s mother, Leslie Bamaca, told police that she was walking he son on Saturday afternoon, when Maynor got out of an Acura SUV and pointed a gun at her.
Bamaca told police that she was able to grab the gun from Maynor, but when she pulled the trigger, the gun didn’t shoot, and that’s when Kristin got out of the vehicle, grabbed the baby and both suspects drove off.
Bamaca’s sister told WSB-TV2, that heard her screaming from inside of her apartment. She said that’s when she ran outside, to find her sister bleeding and crying that her son had been abducted.
The boy was found later on that that with both suspects, who had him dressed as a little girl in order to conceal him.
A motive for the kidnapping in unknown.
