LOS ANGELES- Two rookie police officers, were shot by a man in what’s being called an unprovoked attack, leaving both officers fighting for their lives.
The officers, a 24-year-old male, and a 31-year-old mother, were critically injured, as they were ambushed by an unidentified man in their patrol car in Compton.
The shooting was caught on surveillance footage.
According to Los Angeles authorities, protesters have surrounded the Hospital, where the injured officer’s are, allegedly chanting “we hope they die”, and blocking the entrance and exit to the Hospital’s emergency room.
Here is footage taken by reporter Josie Huang, who was one of three people arrested at the Hospital.

Police are still searching for the gunman.
