DETROIT- Eminem’s alleged home intruder attempted to break into another property that belonged to the rapper, and it was caught on doorbell cam.
In April, Matthew Hughes was arrested for allegedly breaking in Eminem’s home, by smashing his window with a brick, leading to a confrontation with the rapper.
Hughes was charged with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of property.
According to Fox News, Michigan police confirmed on Thursday, that Hughes was arrested in June of 2019 for breaking into a home that Eminem had sold two years prior.
Hughes was caught on door cam footage, that The Daily Mail, has obtained. The video shows Hughes ringing the home’s doorbell, before waiting on the property. After refusing to leave the property, he was arrested, and charged with breaking and entering. He served 90 days in jail.
TMZ is also reporting that Hughes attempted to go another property in June.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshal Mathers, told police in April, that after confronting Hughes in his home, and asking him why he was there, Hughes told him that he wanted “kill him”.
Hughes is currently in jail, as he’s awaiting his arraignment, which is set for Sept. 28.
