FLORIDA- Police have finally made an arrest, in the murder and rape of a teen killed 35 years ago.
Timothy Williams, 56, was charged with second-degree murder for the Nov. 22, 1984 death of Wendy Jerome, 14.
According to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, police tracked Williams down in Florida, where he had moved, and has been living, since Jerome was killed in Rockchester, NY.
Williams was arraigned on Friday, and will be extradited to New York.
Jerome left a friend’s house on the night of Thanksgiving, in 1984, never making it back home. Her body was discovered at in an alcove of a school.
Police say the murder was random, having the suspect not knowing his victim.
