Jerry Harris, from Netflix’s docuseries Cheer, is being investigated by the FBI for allegedly soliciting minors into sex.
According to USA Today, the FBI executed a warrant at Harris’ home on Tuesday, as part of their investigation.
The 21-year-old hasn’t been charged in connection to this investigation, and his rep is claiming that Harris was a teenager when the allegations occurred.
USA Today reports that police in Florida and Texas were alerted about misconduct allegations involving Harris by Varsity Brands, which is the global authority for competitive cheerleading and dance.
A Snapchat message, allegedly sent by Harris to a minor, which included his face, read “Would you ever want to ****”. Harris allegedly also messaged another minor, which read “Hey btw I found a place for us to do stuff it’s actually pretty good haha.”
These messages were sent from May 2019, according to USA Today.
