MISSORI- An 11-year-old boy was killed on a highway left a note behind.
Zaelynn Wiseman ran away from his home early Tuesday, after becoming upset, because he had been grounded for stealing a credit card belonging to his mother’s cousin so he could purchase video games the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Zaelynn’s mother, Garmeisha Terry, who lost custody of him when he was 7, told the outlet that he had left a note behind saying he was going to visit his father, who had lived 125 miles away.
The note read “I’m running away. I’m going to Cape to be with my dad.”
Zaelynn never made the trip, as he was fatally struck just two miles into his journey. He was struck by a car around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The driver stood on the scene until police arrived.
According to Zaelynn’s family, he wasn’t a troubled kid, but a 6th grader who loved video games and will truly be missed.
