LOUISIANA- Rapper Hurricane Chris has been indicted on murder charges.
Hurricane Chris, whose real name is Christopher Jerron Dooley, was indicted by a grand jury on second-degree murder in connection to the death of 32-year-old Danzeria Ferris Jr., KTAL NBC 6 reports.
Ferris was shot several time at a gas station on June 19.
The 31-year-old rapper told police that he thought Ferris was attempting to steal his vehicle, but surveillance footage from the gas station showed different.
Dooley, 31, was arrested on the day of, and was charged with second-degree murder and illegal possession of stolen property.
Hurricane Chris is known for his 2007 hit “A Bay Bay”.
