ATLANTA- More details have emerged, surrounding the death of Chicago rapper King Von.
According to the Atlanta Police Dept., King Von was one of three people who were shot and killed early Friday morning, during an altercation that had involved both off-and on duty police officers were attempting to break up a fight.
The 26-year-old rapper, born Dayvon Bennett, was among two groups of men who began arguing outside of a Hookah Lounge, when someone began shooting at King Von, and a others around him.
Two off-duty officer’s, who were working at the lounge, confronted the shooter’s, which led to additional shots.
In a video from the scene, you can see King Von being picked up from the middle of a street, as he was clearly injured and being put inside of a vehicle that took him and two others to a nearby Hospital.
Two other men died, and three others were transported to a Hospital by ambulance.
King Von, who was from the South Side of Chicago, had released his third album, “Welcome To O Block” just on Oct. 30.
