TEXAS- Three people have been arrested and charged after a baby died from a heroin overdose.
2-month-old Brixlee Marie Lee was found unresponsive on Tuesday at a home, after police received a call about an unconscious baby. First responders attempted to revive the baby, but she later died at a Children’s Hospital.
Doctors found injection marks on the infant, that included her head.
Her urine also tested positive for heroin. An autopsy is being conducted to find the cause of death, according to The New York Post.
Police learned that the infants mother, 21-year-old mother, had given birth to her at home in August and never took the baby to be seen by a doctor.
Harbour’s mother, Christin Chanelle Bradley, 37, and her 34-year-old boyfriend, Dustin Wayne Smock, also took care of the infant, according to police.
When police served a warrant at the residence, police say they found suspected heroin, methamphetamine, pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Bradley, Harbour, Bradley and Smock have all been charged with causing serious bodily injury to a child. They may face additional charges.
