HOUSTON- A man has been charged with murder, after police found the body of his girlfriend inside the trunk of her car.
35-year-old Victor Campbell Jr. has been charged with murder in the death of 28-year-old Briana Johnson, abc13 reported.
As I wrote last week, police found Johnson’s body inside the trunk of her vehicle, after they stopped her Campbell for speeding and he led them on a chase before crashing.
Surveillance footage from Johnson’s home shows Campbell dragging, and putting her wrapped body into the trunk of her car last Saturday around 4 a.m. Campbell covered a camera by Johnson’s home, but he was captured by another camera at the apartment complex.
An autopsy has determined that Johnson died by manual strangulation.
Campbell is also facing additional charges which include tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, felony evading arrest and driving while intoxicated.
According to those close to Johnson, Campbell often stayed at her home, but it’s unsure what kind of relationship they had.
