Singer SOPHIE has died at the age of 34.
According to a statement released by SOPHIE’s record label Transgressive, the singer died in a “terrible accident” on Saturday.
Part of the statement read “Tragically our beautiful Sophie passed away this morning after a terrible accident. True to her spirituality she had climbed up to watch the full moon and slipped and fell” the tweet read.
According to the French singer’s publicist, SOPHIE died at her Greek capital Athens home around 4 a.m.
SOPHIE’s 2018 debut album “Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Inside’s” earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
The singer was openly transgender.
