NORTH CAROLINA- A 12-year-old boy killed a home intruder, protecting his grandmother and home.
According to WRAL, the deadly shooting happened on Saturday when two masked men entered the home of 73-year-old Linda Ellis.
The men demanded that Ellis give them money and shot her in the leg which caused her grandson to shot at them. Both men fled the home.
Khalil Herring, 19, was found injured with a gunshot wound at an intersection, according to police.
Herring was taken to a Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There isn’t any information on the second suspect.
Ellis was treated herself at a Hospital and treated her for a gunshot wound.
The boy will not face any charges.
