TORONTO- Rapper Top5 was charged with murder in connection to the death of a man according to police.
The Toronto rappers lawyer says he’s been charged with accessory to murder after the fact in connection to the death for a 24-year-old man in Jan.
Top5, whose real name is Hassan Ali, was arrested on Saturday.
The rapper was charged two counts of failure to comply with probation and three counts of drug possession with trafficking purposes.
Police arrested a second suspect, Emmanuel Missah, 24, on Friday and charged him with accessory after the fact to murder and failure to comply with a recognizance order.
Hashim Omar Hashi was killed when he tried to enter an underground parking garage on Jan. 31. According to police, Hashi was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead on scene.
