OAKLAND- A man has been charged with murder after killing an Asian man in what is being called a hate crime.
Police say Teaunte Bailey, 26, is facing multiple charges including murder, for two different incidents.
The DA alleges that Bailey robbed and assaulted Pak Ho, 75, on Tuesday, as the victim was going for his early morning walk.
Bailey shoved Mr. Ho to the ground, where he hit his head on the pavement and died from his injuries two days later.
Bailey was also charged on Friday with assault and robbery for another incident that took place last month.
Police say Bailey broke into a senior living home and “violently” shoving a 72-year-old man before stealing phones sand other items.
