KENTUCKY- A 2-year-old boy is dead after eating fentanyl his mother brought from her stimulus check, police say.
The boys mother, Lauren Ashely Baker, 33, admitted to police on Thursday that she purchased the Fentanyl in Cincinnati with money from her stimulus check, The New York Post.
Baker told police that she “took a shot” of fentanyl on Thursday and fell asleep, while her son went thru her purse and ate the drug, which is 100 times more potent than morphine.
Baker woke up to find her son unresponsive, and his father called 911.
The toddler was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Baker was charged with murder, importing fentanyl and trafficking of a controlled substance.
She remains in jail without bail.
