ILLNOIS- A 1-year-old girl was killed by her family’s dog after she got to close to it’s food.
A’myrikal Hull was attacked by the female pocket bully, which is a Patterdale mix after she got too close to the dog as it was eating food, according to the family, reports the State Journal-Register.
“The baby walked by the dog as she was eating and reached for her food,” family friend Cory Painter told the State Journal-Register.
The dog bit Hull on her head, and two family members had to pry the dog off of her.
Hull was taken to a Children’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on March 18.
The dog, who the family owned for 4 years, was taken in by Animal Control.
There is an active investigation.
