QUEENS, NY- DMX’s ‘Celebration Of Life’ brought out everyone, from celebrities to die-hard fans who shut down Barclay’s Center on Saturday.
The service was supposed to start at 1 p.m., but started around 3 p.m.
The Ruff-Ryders shut down the entire block, as they blasted DMX’s , while riding their four-wheelers and motorcycles.
A poem recited by the late rapper was played on the loudspeaker, followed by Kanye West’s Sunday Service gospel choir who sang several songs. Kanye West wasn’t present during the service.
DMX’s casket was then brought on stage, next to his fiance, Desiree Lindstrom, and his youngest son Exodus. Eventually, all of X’s children were up on stage.
Some of his children spoke, remembering their father as they shared how great of a father he was. One of his youngest son’s almost began crying as he was speaking.
DMX died two weeks ago, after spending a week on life.
The 52-year-old rapper overdosed in his home, which caused him to have a heart attack.
